Summary
America in 2203 is ruled by Christian theocratic nationalists. Genetic meddling by the church in the name of fertility research has resulted in a population of Primes; an estimated 1 of 10 people exhibit alpha/omega traits which randomly arise amongst a population of Naturals, or betas. Primes are celebrated in the context of straight Christian marriage, but their traits deplored as aberrant hedonism in everything but. Thrust into the world of the Christian Right, Rudi, a young wlw, must navigate the forces of privilege, religion, and biology as she strives to pursue life and love on her own terms.
