    Tina had claimed that she'd find Paulo's Rockruff, no matter what. But once she leaves the base of operations, the enormity of her self-appointed task hits her: finding a seemingly disintegrated Pokemon, with no clues whatsoever, which could be anywhere on the entire island. This is like finding a needle in a haystack...if the needle even exists in the first place! Never mind the fact that the needle might be entirely useless even if she DOES find it...

    Despondent and running out of ideas, Tina runs into an old friend who might have some thoughts of their own. But is it really Rockruff that she needs to find first, or is it her own missing resolve that's the higher priority here?
