Tommy watched him in the soft light of the bedside lamp and pressed his lips on his forehead, which still felt warm but at least the smallest amount cooler than before. The medication he'd managed to get Evan to take before the shower was probably starting to work.
He just hoped that when they would wake up in the morning, the fever would be gone and Evan would feel better, because judging from the way Eddie had talked about Evan and his dislike for hospitals, Tommy wasn’t looking forward to the possibility of having to go there. He’d seen Evan uncomfortable enough already and the last thing he wanted was for him to be outright miserable. Even if he would be there to hold him through it.
