Summary

When Sonic finds himself pulled into the second storybook world, that of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, he's given a plea unlike those he's used to, one that paints him a villain instead of a hero. With a magical (and bossy) sword at his side, Sonic learns how to duel, explores a world ripe with magic, and fights knights to find out the truth.
What had pushed this land to such a state? Why was Merlina being hunted down? Why did the knights seem so distressed? And is King Arthur truly past redemption?
(A Sonic and the Black Knight rewrite with a lot more introspection, and with the addition of Galahad, Lamorak, and King Arthur as true characters.)

Summary
Lancelot wanted to introduce Sonic to someone, so he should have expected a familiar face. And, well, this is a familiar-ish face. Light gray fur, piercing golden eyes, weird front quills- This is undoubtedly Silver the Hedgehog.
Except this is very much not a angry young adult and is instead a very serious-looking baby. Sonic holds Silver the Hoglet up to his face, watching the baby squirm in his hands.
“This baby… is yours?” Sonic says uncertainly as he scrutinizes the hoglet closely. Silver the toddler with stumpy little arms and legs and quills that seem to be too big for his body but scrunches his eyebrows the same way normal Silver does. Sonic can’t keep himself from sounding absolutely mystified, “Your hoglet?”
Lancelot’s mouth quickly quirks up into a smile at Sonic’s tone and phrasing, and there is a definite proud undertone as the black hedgehog nods again, “My son.”
(Sonic (and Caliburn) meet Lancelot's's little guy, Galahad.)

Arthur the Hedgehog pulled the legendary sword Caliburn from the stone, and he became King Arthur, the ruler of Camelot. Shadow the Hedgehog appears in a flash of magic in the middle of his banquet hall, and he becomes Arthur’s problem. As the sun rises over the kingdom, a pre-dawn conversation between both hedgehogs also helps them reach... well, not quite a mutual understanding, but progress is progress! And it's the most fun Arthur has had in years, so he's going to see this quest to the end, no matter what.
(Shadow doesn’t know where he is, what’s going on, or why he’s there- but it doesn’t matter. He’s Shadow the Hedgehog, the world’s ultimate life form, and he’s going to play this weird game by his rules.)
