“Not much,” Wilbur says, and stifles a yawn. “What’s … ‘s there something I was s’posed to be here for?”
Tommy wracks his brain. “Well, I’m streaming,” he says, “at the moment.” As if to agree, his chat flies by at the speed of light, mostly proclamations of SLEEPYBUR and HI WILBURRR and KEKW. “Happy freaking … Christmas, I guess!”

Summary
Tommy and Ranboo met as 11 year olds, and now they’re 16(almost 17) with tons of trauma and struggle. They were deemed as “problem children” early into their experiences in the foster system, which only added onto their struggles. It was pretty common for someone to foster them, only to discover they were extremely messed up, and decide to mess them up further. For the majority of their lives in the foster system, they were extremely unlucky with what happened to them. However, perhaps it was time for their luck to turn around.
One day, their social worker tells them that someone’s willing to foster both of them, instead of just one of them like it usually was. So, they agreed to try it out. Even after everything they’d been through, they hoped that this house would be the one.
