He holds his cards close, as though creating a second wall of discretion. Nagant doesn’t blink—she just studies him with this kind of bemusement.
“Would you like to run that by me again?” She asks wryly. “You have a crush on your—?”
“Yes.” Keigo rubs his temples, exhausted by a realization that’s haunted him for weeks now. Red creeps across his cheeks.
“Your pardoned war criminal boyfriend,” she continues, “of two months? Or your pardoned war criminal unofficial boyfriend of seven months who you were sleeping with?”
There’s a disruptive cough from a nearby guard, but they’re under heavy NDAs, which means Keigo can just watch them die a little inside while being unable to gossip about them.
“They’re the same person,” Keigo retorts tiredly.
“I know,” she says. “I just wanted to make sure you were aware as well.”

Touya is dealing with a family dilemma. It's perfect timing, so Keigo can deal with his feelings dilemma.

Shouto meets him at the front desk, where he’s quietly nodding along with the small talk. He glances at Enji with quaint acknowledgement, then gestures to Hawks’s bag. “Did a civilian give you a gift?”
“Something from Hawks to Touya. I mentioned Touya was coming over for dinner tonight.” He hands the bag to his youngest son so he can pull on his jacket.
“Is Touya-nii low on underwear?”
Enji pauses. “What?”

“So—um,” Natsuo says next, “Do you and Hawks know each other at all? We invited Hawks-san because we like to have lunch with him. Sorry for the surprise—but the more the merrier, right?”
Dabi slurps noodles once more.
“Did you…um,” Fuyumi adds next, “ever run into each other?”
“I tried to kill him,” Dabi says next. “I burned his wings.”
There’s a squeak. Natsuo’s and Fuyumi’s eyes widen.
“Don’t worry,” Hawks reassures. “I lived.”
“Stubborn bastard,” Dabi grumbles almost immediately. He lifts the bowl to sip broth. “I threw him out a window.”
“I lived then, too,” Hawks reassures before they can have another scandalized gasp. “Don’t worry. It’s how he shows his affection.”

Post-war, Todoroki Touya is pardoned from his crimes, while Hawks gains a new title: the Dabi Whisperer.
