Summary
“Let me take care of you,” Obi-Wan soothed.
“No, I can’t,” Anakin’s hands ran down his forearms, up his biceps and to his chest where he grabbed desperately onto his shirt.
“Why not?” Obi-Wan’s fingers threaded through Anakin’s hair, petting and carding through the short strands. Anakin felt more self conscious than he’d ever felt in his life.
What if you hurt me? Was what Anakin wanted to ask. Instead, a sob racked his body and Obi-Wan’s arms went around him easily, like they always were supposed to.

Anakin joked he had no birth father and that his existence was due to immaculate conception. He never knew his sperm donor, and his Mom never told him. Not that Anakin wanted to ask and bring up any traumatic memories for his Mom. He didn’t need a father. His Mom was enough for him. So when their children arrive on Christmas Eve during a once-in-a-lifetime blizzard, Obi-Wan wonders if the universe just wants to mess with him.
