Katsuki was six years old when he first got a mark from his soulmate. He had been busy drawing a masterpiece on his wrist – an awesome depiction of his quirk with cool letters in the middle – when it was joined by a weird shape his dad said was a snowflake. It was pretty and delicate. Katsuki wasn’t used to that but he decided he liked it.

"Contrary to Jedediah’s teasing about how stuffy he could be Octavius hadn’t exactly been particularly proactive in making Rome’s alliance with the Old West official. Unfortunately enough of his men were uncomfortable without the political formalities for it to start becoming a problem."
Diplomacy was never particularly enjoyable for Octavius but a necessary evil. He never expected trying to make things official with the West would end up like this.
