    Summary

    Kahlan is beautiful.

The thought strikes unexpectedly, landing with all the precision of a well-placed agiel to the stomach, leaving Cara dizzy and gasping for breath in the middle of a nameless passageway. Which is entirely ridiculous because Cara Mason is a Mord'Sith and Mord'Sith know nothing of beauty so how could she know - with such certainty her now-racing heart all but beats the words into the underside of her ribs - that Kahlan is beautiful?

    Bookmarker's Notes

Damn this broken, bruised heart. She would rather throw it into the ocean than carry it around for one more moment.
At least if she was heartless, she wouldn't feel it breaking a thousand times over.
