Castiel is unfamiliar with the human body. He has never had a vessel for such a long time. He has learned to eat and to rest, it is an easy way to restore natural resources. Whenever something seems wrong with him, he feels helpless.
"Thank you for helping me out," he tells Sam. "Approaching Dean with this seemed wrong to me."
"I understand. He is not in a good place right now," Sam answers. He gestures to Castiel to sit on the bed. "Thank you for trusting me. How can I help you?"
