Steve was asleep on his side, one arm wrapped securely around Tony like a living seatbelt, the other hand resting protectively over Tony’s stomach. Even unconscious, Steve Rogers guarded what was his.
Tony, meanwhile, was very awake.
Very emotional.
And very, very focused on one thing.
“…Strawberries,” Tony whispered into the darkness.
Steve did not respond.
Tony sniffed.
“…Steve.”

Tony pointed at him from Steve’s arms. “I need strawberries.”Bucky squinted. “…Is this a code.”
Tony wailed. “I CAN’T LIVE IN A WORLD WITHOUT STRAWBERRIES.”
Bucky rubbed his face. “I’m going to steal from a store.”
Steve nodded. “Go.”
Thor raised his hammer. “I shall scour Midgard.”
Rhodey grabbed his jacket. “This is the dumbest mission I’ve ever been on.”
Tony sniffed, watching them leave. “…I love you guys.”
