Summary
There were a couple of unspoken rules of working in an ER. Rules like:
- There are no breaks; eat and hydrate when you can.
- As long as there isn’t a name on it, you can eat any food from the communal fridge.
- If you see Dr. Robby or Dr. Abbot on the roof, leave them alone. They haven’t jumped yet, and you don’t want to be the person who has to talk them away from the ledge.
Another unspoken rule -one that Dennis Whitaker has a lot of trouble with- is the rule about going to the toilet. More specifically, the rule is about never waiting to go to the toilet when you have the time to do so.
