Alucard woke up as his door crashed open, sword flying out of its sheath before he fully opened his eyes. It arced across the room in a flash of silver, and Alucard managed to stay its motion just before it skewered Belmont in the doorway. Not that Belmont seemed to care at all; he batted the sword out of the way like he might have done a cobweb.
Alucard is just trying to sleep and people keep piling into his bed.

I love this story so much, because it is everything that I want from this fandom and from Kyle and Bradley. Definitely read it if you're a) a fan of noir-style stories and partners who betray each other and don't see what's really going on with each other and love each other even when they're basically at war, b) have played Hotel Dusk and want AWESOME FIC FOR IT.
