“Hey,” Phainon says as the airplane finally begins to take flight. “You nervous?”
Mydei crosses his arms, giving Phainon a sharp look. “We’ve flown to Belobog plenty of times. Why would I be nervous now?”
Phainon rolls his eyes. “It’s the Olympics, Mydei. We have a title to defend this time.”
The next Olympic winter games are fast-approaching, and reigning ice dance champions Phainon and Mydei must defend their title. Growing tension in their partnership, both on and off the ice, renders this difficult—tensions which they must come to terms with before they end their careers for good.

“No, no.” Cipher is saying as she follows his gaze, dread in her tone. “Please don’t tell me that guy’s your type.”
He dyed his hair back to white. Mydei finds himself thinking, as Phainon throws his head back, laughing, and his bangs fall into his eyes.
“Worse.” He says glumly. “That’s my ex boyfriend.”
Cipher’s reaction is just a tad over the top. She chokes on her drink, spluttering unflatteringly as she stares at Mydei like he’s grown a second head. “And when were you going to tell me, your dearest friend Cifera…” She starts slowly.
“...that your ex is Phainon fucking Khaslana?”
Mydei is supposed to be here to celebrate. After so much hard work he and his band—Titans of Calamity, had finally signed a recording contract.
The last person he wanted to run into was him. Popular, handsome, up-and-coming model Phainon, who had become unrecognizable from the boy he loved in high school.
Mydei never got over their disastrous breakup, and right now, he just wants to forget.

"Belobog's shield, the golden Landau child, the very symbol of preservation," Sampo's expression shifted somehow, from teasing to something akin to desire, with the way he stared at Gepard through heavy eyes. "Whatever will people say if I stole a kiss from you?"
His thoughts were hazy, breathing in sharply when Sampo's trailed his hand from his face to his jawline.
"Since when have you cared about what people think" Gepard mutters. "Besides I-Its not stealing"
"What was that?" Sampo asked, sounding distracted. His eyes never left Gepard's lips.
"It's not stealing," Gepard said, averting his gaze. ''If I'm letting you,"
(Belobog was changing, and so too with it must it's shield of ice, its Captain. Masks, talks of stolen kisses and a criminal who he desperately wishes to know, feel intimately and wonder who the man truly was. More importantly, what Gepard wanted from him.)
