    Post-Thor, canon-divergence. Loki doesn't survive his fall from the Bifrost and winds up reincarnated on Midgard as a mortal magician named Lucy with no memory of her previous life. Her decision-making skills have not been much improved by the transformation.

    “Do I even want to know why you think I’m your missing brother?”

    “The similarities are startling,” Thor managed. She looked pointedly down at her chest, then back at him, her lips pursing. He knew the look in her eyes, the set of her mouth, the tension in her jaw. Oh, how he knew that sharp, angry, hard face. He could practically hear Loki hissing “You idiot” in his ear.

    “You deny it, then?” Hogun asked.

    “Seriously?” Lucy’s left eye twitched slightly. “I have at no point in the last thirty years seen or experienced anything that would lead me to think I’m a dude, an alien, a god, or any combination thereof. So yeah, I’m going to have to go with denying it.”

    Excerpt from one of my comments:

    “The writing style is enthralling, to the point where I could tell that I would love this fic from the very first few paragraphs. Every character is written in a manner that is if not lovable than entertaining to read, none more so than Lucy herself, who stole my heart to the point where I frequently reference her in conversation with my friends as “my favorite not-Marvel Marvel character” and have an overwhelming urge to have a picture of her somewhere in my house were such a thing to exist.

    The story itself never fails to delight, being both funny, interesting, and tugging violently on your heartstrings in turns. Any time you think you know what’s happening next you’re hit with a cart of dairy-free creamer and möbius strips.”

    If you love funny original stories with lots of plot and a little bit of hard hitting angst, give this story a shot. It will not disappoint.
