Johnny's eyes find Jaehyun, who's now fighting Donghyuck for the ball, and his bright and happy laugh can be heard all the way from where they're sitting. It makes Johnny smile despite himself.
“Not homies,” He clarifies, voice so fond it drips affection. “Just Jaehyun. It’s only ever Jaehyun.”

Summary
Oh, but Jaehyun does think about it.
When he’s in his bed, touching himself fast and dirty to the sound of Johnny’s soft snores, immersed in the fantasy of his roommate waking up and coming over to help like he did last time. Or when he’s in the shower, hot under the cold stream with the picture of Johnny’s defined lips stretched around him, taking the edge off in a different way. This is the last time, he thinks every time as he washes himself clean of any evidence, but at times it feels like he’s addicted, and the memory of Johnny’s touch on that couch is the only thing able to get him there now.
Maybe it’s for the best that they don’t talk about it; Jaehyun is growing increasingly worried about what he’d have to say.

jaehyun doesn’t do romance.
no, he swore things off romance for a while now. his favorite turndown lines were “i have a kid”, and “oh, you should meet my kid sometime”. effectively, it made him focus on college, and more importantly, jaemin.
but when he gets home from his classes and sees jaemin on his favorite spot-- johnny’s lap, face buried in his chest as johnny types something furiously on his laptop, he gulps.

"He didn't show up," Jaehyun hiccups. It hurts. He has never experienced heartbreak like this. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do."
"Your sweetheart?" the stranger asks. Jaehyun nods. "Come on now, you shouldn't cry over a boy. If he stood you up, he's not worth it. There will always be another Valentine's Day, no?"
Jaehyun shakes his head. If it was that simple, he wouldn't be here right now. If it was just a stupid date he wouldn't be crying the way he is now. "We were supposed to get married."

Don't get him wrong, Jaehyun doesn't hate love.
Being a vocalist for weddings, love songs were inevitable and anyone would get sick of hearing the same song played over and over again. Every sappy rhyme and heartfelt confession embedded into his brain have lost their meaning years ago, now just hollow words for another gig.
