“Mike, you really don’t look so good, should we take you to a doctor or something?” Micky questioned, propping Mike up with his arm as they walked into their room. Mike’s response was him flopping onto his bed and curling up, the man pulling the wool hat he was wearing so it covered his eyes, blocking out the light. He shook his head.
The last thing Mike remembered was the sound of Micky turning off the light and mumbling goodnight, before drifting off into a sleep that left him plagued with images of the old crone, her last words to him ringing through his head, unprompted, like a shrill and unwelcome alarm:
“You are a man, afterall.”

Summary

Summary
A story that spans decades. The marriage of Samantha and Darrin Stephens caused ripples within the witchly realm that has led to a cold civil war as several factions have emerged: One faction to which Serena and a grown up Tabitha belong, seek to live within the earthly realm. While not rejecting their magical gifts, they try to be discreet in their use of witchcraft in an effort assimilate within the general population. Another faction seeks assert the status quo as it existed prior to the marriage. Maurice, Endora, and Adam belong to this faction. A third faction seeks to dominate the mortal world--returning to the days where they were worshiped as gods. Many witches and warlocks such as Uncle Arthur are trying their best to retain their neutrality although Arthur does lean a bit more towards Serena and Tabitha's viewpoint than Endora and Maurice's. Tabitha and Serena work for a secret government agency as black ops operatives fighting against those witches and warlocks seeking to take over. Edited to fix errors.
