Summary
Maybe Majima’s the same as him, Nishiki thinks. It’s a swindling thought, like standing on the railing of a balcony. Maybe they’re both just new guard thugs, small players in age-old family feuds. They could be the same, except for all the ways they’re not: Majima bends and doesn’t break, like Nishiki is doing; is about to do; will, soon enough.
