"Megumi, what are you implying?" his voice dropped significantly lower, making him shiver involuntarily. It wasn't everyday that he got to see a more serious side of his ex guardian. He sat down at the edge of the bed, sheets rustling below him.
"I met this…guy?" he began. A smirk almost tugged the corners of Gojo's lips, but a nudge by Geto was enough to erase the smug expression, "I was patrolling, as usual. And some…guy…crashed into me while I was in midair and—"
"Woah there, pause." Gojo cut him off, clearly more awake now. "Did I hear that right? What do you mean crashed into you while you were in midair?"
"I said what I said. Some guy crashed into me, and that's why I'm asking if the experiment lost two specimens or more."
Gojo rubbed his temples, eyebrows furrowing. "I don't think so. I retrieved as many documents as I could from the lab, but none of them mentioned a second spider or anything similar."

Summary
Working in the national parks as a wildlife management officer is great, especially in Yellowstone.
Winter is coming to an end and the new NPS transfers are coming in, disrupting Megumi's day to day, when all he wants to study is the wildlife. It's why he's here, isn't it? A handsome new law enforcement ranger threatens the routine Megumi has, along with natural disasters, search and rescue missions and wildlife emergencies.
An AU where Yuuji and Megumi work as NPS officers. Yuuji is new to Yellowstone (but not new to the parks), and Megumi is seasoned in Yellowstone.
(Megumi is an animal dork in this, I feel like that's canon, though.)
