    March 11, 2020: “In breaking news, the NBA has suspended the 2020 season until further notice after Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus.”

    Shane closes his book and sits up straighter. “Whoa, suspended the season? This is going to affect every single professional league.” Ilya snuggles deeper into his lap, feeling anxiety radiate through Shane's body as he reaches for his phone. Ilya makes no move to get up and starts to massage Shane's thigh.

    Ilya feels suddenly lighter at the possibility of a canceled hockey season. Months uninterrupted to do exactly what they’re doing, all day, every day. Cooking and cuddling and teasing and binging TV and taking Anya on long walks. Not to mention the filthy, filthy things he'll be able do with his fiancé when there's nowhere to be. His own personal heaven on Earth.
