Zenitsu has no choice but to submit, his knees hitting the ground as tilts his head back to expose the long column of his neck and his belly. His eyes remain unfocused, but he knows he's staring up at the sky – clouds rolling past overhead as his ears pick up the distant sounds of Tanjiro and Inosuke's voices.

Inosuke is shouting, but Zenitsu's head feels heavy like he'd just woken up from being asleep.
"Release him! Shinazugawa please!"
Now Tanjiro's shouting too. The voices of his best friends sound like they're far away, distorted as if his head were submerged underwater.
"You can't use commands on him," he hears Tanjiro plead, voice watery. "Not after what he's been through."
