Harry’s so sleepy that he barely registers the movement, but Zayn slips a hand under his shirt and when he presses his palm to Harry’s back, he whimpers. Harry closes his eyes again and leans in so their foreheads are touching and Zayn feels unbearably sad—sad that they’re in this situation and sad that he can’t kiss Harry when they’re awake and sober. Sad that Harry’s sad, sad that he can’t press his lips to Harry’s forehead when his eyes are glossy and his lip juts out at the end of the day.

Zayn was confused because he knew that Harry was a nurse at the hospital, but he hadn't meet him, he just heard his mother say that Harry had shown her something or told her something or stuff like that. In that precise moment, someone's head appeared through the door and said 'hey, just wanted to pop in to say goodbye', and what was Zayn's surprise when he realised it was the curly man from the pub, Zayn frowned while looking at the man, but was the only one doing that cause both his mum and Louis were giving him wide smiles".The one where Zayn has an accident and Harry becomes his live-in nurse.

Over the next two weeks, Harry manages to cut open his finger three times, spill boiling water on himself once, and turn his skin polka-dotted, and somehow Potions is still the highlight of Zayn’s week. It’s just…in Potions, he doesn’t remember the absence at his side, doesn’t remember how even if he hangs out with Liam or any of the other Gryffindors, it still feels like something’s missing, something not even Louis’s regular letters can help. But in Potions, it feels like Zayn’s laughing too hard at Harry and Niall’s antics to remember that.
