On stage, in interviews, even crammed side by side in the back of vans, their energy ricocheted until the others rolled their eyes. But when it mattered—when Mingyu’s momentum tipped into danger—Seokmin was the only one who reached out, not to shove him forward but to hold him still.

Summary
Mingyu swallows, the question so unexpected it takes a moment to process. “Powdery. Like clean linens.” He answers honestly.
“Hmph… I’m wearing a new perfume.” Seokmin hums, his hands making their way up to Mingyu’s wide shoulders. “It’s nice, right?””
Mingyu’s tail wags, and so does his tongue. Speaking nonsense. “You’re nice.”
Seokmin exhales through his nose, an amused little noise. “That’s what everybody says about me.” His smile falters, and for the first time ever, he sounds genuinely concerned. “I haven’t been nice to you though.”

Mingyu never considered himself a lucky person but there was no other word to define the way Lee Seokmin came into his life besides luck.

Summary
For all of his kindness and his patience, even Mingyu isn’t so blind to believe that simple gestures are enough to win him the respect he wants. Seokmin is living, breathing proof of the opposing forces waiting to challenge Mingyu’s future leadership of the Alliance.
It’s something that Mingyu can’t change - the inherent animosity that exists even before an impression can be made, the distrust and the envy that wells up outside of Mingyu’s control. It’s a wall that Seokmin built even before Mingyu knew his name, but Mingyu will break it.
