Summary
Since Will Byers moved to New York he's done his best to put his past behind him. He goes to college, loves his new friends, and tries not to think about the things he'd rather forget. Things like... Mike Wheeler. He hasn't picked up his calls for a year, not opened any of his letters. And Will starts to think he might finally forget about him.
That is, until Mike shows up at his mother's house for Christmas celebration.

Summary
"When you get to wherever you're going, will you..." he falters for a moment, the words almost too hard to say. "...will you forget about me?"
Will looks at him, like he can't believe what Mike had asked.
Then, he throws his arms around Mike, holding onto him like is trying to tie their souls together, so that their bodies would not feel so lonely while being apart.
"Never."
Or: Will tells Mike he is leaving Hawkins for good. And Mike has no other choice than to let him go.
