Today, Henry is walking past an elementary school with David when he sees a teacher giving small children gold star stickers as they put away their playground toys. The children squeal with delight, overjoyed at the simple positive reinforcement.
It seems silly, but Henry is intrigued. Alex likes being praised, thriving on positive attention and affirmation. But perhaps something tangible, even something as simple as shimmering stickers, could be absurd enough to work.
