In Unspoken, Alexander, Leo, and Augusta continue their London visit with Samuel Colbourne. Alexander's thoughts drift to Heyrick Park, his parenting skills come into question, and Samuel shares his views on a number of things.

Unspoken is a continuation of Unbidden, which was written for the #HDTWritingChallenge, so you may wish to read Unbidden first in the September 1820 series.

"It dispenses joy and misery at random. It mimics life." - Greg Grayson, Industry

While visiting London shops with his niece, Augusta, Alexander Colbourne is reminded of what he values most in life.
Responding to the #HDT Writing Challenge! I did fudge the Greg Grayson quote a little in my story. This was a tough one!

“Who even speaks in this house of silence, this mausoleum?”
Charlotte Heywood to Alexander Colbourne, Heyrick Park, 1820

Miss Augusta Markham shares what happened in the 16 months and 11 days she spent at Heyrick Park from winter 1819 to summer 1820. We learn about her journey with her Uncle Alexander to Sanditon and those early days at her new home. The story centers on Augusta and Alexander, described by one Sanditon fan as “two peas of the same pod.”

    Summary

Staying up until 1:00 a.m. Eastern on an almost nightly basis to read and/or write about Sanditon? Perhaps not the healthiest of habits, but when there are stories to tell, there are stories to tell!

This short tale imagines how a segment of Sanditon Season 3 could go.

My story was inspired by a photo that appeared in an October 2021 Somerset Live UK gallery and takes place in winter 1821. Alexander Colbourne has become more involved in Sanditon society, and he and Charlotte Heywood have had a few conversations during her visits to Sanditon during the fall/winter season. The story is told from Alexander’s point of view.
