Responding to this week’s #HDTWritingChallenge.
A tangent of “Unexpected” from the September 1820 series. This is the backstory on Augusta’s mention of the Parker’s evening party and Alexander’s duet with Miss Hankins in AC’s dream about drawing room dance practice. You don’t have to have read “Unexpected” in order to read this one. However, for the bigger picture, there’s more in September 1820.
I don’t think I’ve missed an #HDTWritingChallenge yet, and I’m going down fighting before I do! (Honestly, Ben, the writing we do for you!) This one is a little silly, but enjoy!

Alexander accepts Charlotte's invitation to join family and friends at Heywood Manor in Willingden. Once there, he learns quite a bit about Charlotte, her family, and his own family.
There are no murders in this series, but if we were playing Clue, my guess would be Lady Susan in the library with the heavy, leather-bound atlas.
