Norton's black lung disease is something more. Ever heard of radon? Well it's a form of radiation in caves (in soil and uranium mostly) transferred by the gas itself (while for other forms of radiation, it's transferred by the particles.) This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to avoid apart from wearing tons of clothing. Masks don't help, as you breathe it in.
I figured it would make sense for Norton to have lung cancer from the radiation, as it’s a common effect from long term radiation poisoning.
