After five minutes of excruciatingly painful silence overlaid only by the clinking of utensils on ceramic, Jefferson clears his throat. He’d planned out an emotional, eloquent speech on how he still didn’t like the idea of Miles putting himself in harm’s way every night, but would always support and love him no matter what. He’d even rehearsed it in the mirror while brushing his teeth before breakfast.
What comes out instead is: “I…am okay with it.”
Jefferson comes to terms with his son's superhero shenanigans.

Summary

Summary
“I jus’ spent a solid week gettin’ banged six ways to Sunday and I still feel like I need… more. I’m itchin’ for it- I know, I’m a whore,” the smile on his face is self-deprecating and he ducks his head so he doesn’t have to look Husk in the eyes. It’s temporary, though, because the hand that was resting on top of his is coming up to tilt his chin so they’re staring eye to eye. Husk is closer than he was before.
“Ain’t ever acted like it was a bad thing before,” Husk says, “no sense in acting like it now. You know I ain’t judging.” A silence stretches between them as Husk mulls over the rest of Angel’s words. His rough tongue slips out and wets his lower lip, and Angel tracks it carefully, wondering how it’d feel on his skin instead.
“Doubt you actually came for those chucklefucks anyway.”
Angel is unfulfilled. Husk helps.
