You've lived with Ether Aptitude Regression Syndrome your whole life in the Outer Ring. It was never truly an issue up until early adulthood. Where epipens and other treatments aren't slowing it down as effectively as they used to.
With that it's become harder to just ignore where your life is inevitably going to end. Becoming an Ethereal, killed by someone else. You can't choose how you die, but maybe you could pick who makes it happen.
Working at the only bar in Blazewood, it's become inevitable to stumble across Lighter Lorenz, the Red Scarf Champion. Especially considering you work with Burnice, whose part of the same faction as he is.
