H'zashi's feathers stood on end, blood boiling at the fear in the fledgeling's eyes, the way their running was flagging even though their breathing still came way too fast— He flew forwards, covering the remaining distance and swiftly whirling around the little Green, placing himself between them and their pursuers, wings spread wide. He put one wing back to cover them.

Izuku was a vigilante. He had no room for error, no room to slip up. Every night he went out he had to be so careful— not to get too hurt, not to say too much— or else everything that mattered to him could so easily fall apart.
