Summary
There must always be a Stark in Winterfell, and Sansa Stark is ready to heed her father's words. Too bad the castle is in ruins with a bad infestation of fowl-mouthed, ill-tempered not-knights. What's a girl to do?
After her parents' death, Sansa has finally returned to the North to escape an abusive relationship and put her ghosts to rest. She's ready to take her family's gigantic ruined castle and make something of the place. Meanwhile, Sandor Clegane (and his horse) has been squatting in Winterfell with the permission of Sansa's estranged sister Arya. When he finds out that Sansa's the actual heiress, he has to figure out a plan that will allow him to stay and allow his LARPing group, the Brotherhood Without Banners, to keep using the grounds. The deal: Sandor will help Sansa fix up the castle for room and board. Too bad neither of them counted on a wolf pack, psychotic ex, conniving lawyer, feisty little sister, mysterious half-brother, bus full of Free Folk and bonafide ghost to turn up!
