Summary
Exhausted and lonely after an especially long and brutal tour of duty, Anakin turns to his padawan for comfort. Following his night of what he sees as weakness, he’s forced to reconcile that Ahsoka can offer him things that his wife can’t. As things start falling apart around them, he makes a choice to follow her when she leaves the order.
Now with two kids in tow, they’re forced to juggle parenthood with still trying to shine a light in the darkness that had fallen. Will the Skywalker family ultimately beat the Chancellor’s game and get to raise their family in peace or will they lose everything?
This story is inspired by and for Reese_Tano, who’s beautiful Anisoka artwork on Instagram always makes my day.
The story is named after the song Glowing in the Dark by The Girl and The Dreamcatcher, which is a very fitting AniSoka song XD
Edit as of 9/13/20: I'm sorry to say I'm abandoning this story for now as I have no motivation or ideas to work on it. Just because I mark it as complete does not mean I'll never come back to it. I just need to cross a few off my list so I stop feeling so pressured by unfinished projects and Reese has kind of moved onto other projects and fandoms as well.

Summary
Ahsoka asks Anakin to accompany her home to Shili for their traditional coming of age celebration known as Ha’a’neh eh det Turu. Neither one of them know a lot about her heritage, but it’s important to her to complete it. The week-long rite of passage sends them deep into a culture full of color and tradition and might just be a bit more than they bargained for. But seeing Ahsoka in her native setting sets off feelings he’d not fully acknowledged before and now he’s in too deep. When all is said and done, will they be able to go back to the temple and resume their friendship as normal, or will their experiences irrevocably change their relationship?
Ahsoka is my favorite character in Star Wars and I absolutely love exploring the alien side of her and how it influences her life and her actions (especially how it intertwines with being a Jedi), because I think people forget she's not human even if she acts like it. So this is a bit of a world-building experience for me and I hope you enjoy it! (Some designs and ideas inspired by my friend, rosaapaints)
