Summary
Now that the Wizarding War is over and everyone has been saved by little baby Harry Potter, Berenice needs Remus Lupin, not as an object of marriage, but as a business partner. He has the Defence Against the Dark Arts expertise she needs, and she knows she can manage a successful business, sending him out to hunt doxies and Grindylow. All she has to do is keep him focused on the company.
Unfortunately, Remus Lupin mopes, lacks ambition and is easily distracted. It will take hard work to build up a successful business, but that renovated building is where Berenice's attention sits, while wizarding history moves forward entirely without her.
Now and then events impinge on the company, unavoidably. It's a nuisance.
They just need to not get stamped out entirely, or dragged into a whole new Wizarding War.(This is not a romance. No romance is involved. No on-screen action scenes either.)

Magic is also going to help him learn how to kick everybody's backside.
This is the tale of a Harry who has learned the hard way that adults are fallible and that he will have to rely only on himself, and his long, slow journey to a very different life than the one Dumbledore had in store for him. The lessons he learns are not the ones most adults wanted to teach him and the family he ends up with is not the one Dumbledore set him with.
This story is written in a very sparse style and chapters are very short. The longest chapter is still less than one thousand, five hundred words long and the beginning chapters tend towards five hundred words.
