Summary
At first, Madara told himself he admired him, that he envied the way he carries himself, the way he moves through life with a confidence Madara doesn’t understand. But admiration shouldn’t feel like this. His heart shouldn’t race when he smiles at him and his skin shouldn’t burn where he touches him.
So Madara pushes it down, becomes more distance, more nights spent staring at his ceiling, trying to convince himself that he’s fine. That this isn’t real.
