   Summary

   About a year and a half before the events of the saga begin, Meria Lannister, the legitimate bastard daughter of Jaime Lannister and Dyana Sand cousin of Elia Martell, marries Renly Baratheon. Despite various difficulties, an amicable bond seems to develop between the couple.
   A woman, however, predicts to Meria the beginning of a war that will devastate and divide the kingdom as well as an imminent motherhood, but Meria pays no heed to the woman's words and even believes her to be mad.
   Unfortunately, war does break out and Meria finds herself in impossible love and having to do everything in her power to protect herself and the people she loves.
