Somewhere, a chain breaks. A bone snaps. A drop in the bucket for parasites like them - but not her. Not Ortho. Ortho is anything but that - she is radiant, kind, selfless, yours. For years you survived off of stolen goods and her gentle direction. Town after town, untraceable trails of misery that only strengthened your bond. Perhaps a bird in a gilded cage, but you couldn’t remember feeling any greater freedom than under her thumb. Still, the unshakable feeling that you are running from something bigger than you lingers. But in a shithole like Vincennes, Indiana, life is stagnant - certainly not a place for karma to catch up to you. At least, not until two kind strangers pay a visit to your job.
