Once he’s safe in Avengers Tower, Bucky starts to interact with the ragtag team of superheros as they investigate a series of strange attacks on former SHIELD agents. With the help of Bruce and Tony, he starts to piece together more of his past, and he's surprised to remember that Steve isn’t the only Avenger he has a history with. Tucked among the dark past he struggles to reconcile are a series of uncommonly good memories with a certain former Russian operative.

There are a million things she should be worrying about. The calls that won’t stop. What she’s supposed to do next. The unopened letters on her desk.
But none of it matters.
There is only the feel of him, one hand firm on her hip, guiding her rhythm; the other tangled in her hair, pulling her closer. His breath is hot against her neck, their skin slick and sticking in the heat.
Sansa wonders if the thrill for him comes from knowing it will end.
It doesn’t for her.
