His eyes are clouded with tears. He can’t see much anymore, his limbs are shaking, and his lower lip trembles. He tries to say something but his mouth is too dry, Katsuki licks his lips, takes another ragged breath, and tries again. With a broken voice he rasps between hiccups, “—Red.”
Shouto’s movements immediately halt, and his breath hitches before he spreads his palm on Katsuki’s stomach to slowly pull himself out. Carefully so as to not hurt him, flipping Katsuki onto his back to make sure he's alright.
