Summary
Riki had every reason to know that wanting Jungwon was a sin.
The first was written in his blood. Half-demon, born of shadow and ashes, a creature the court only tolerated because the Queen had decided to save him and call him son. No Fae had ever dared to bond with a demon, not without being cast out or killed.
The second reason was far crueler: Jungwon belonged to Jay, the future King, and Riki’s brother in all but blood.In a kingdom where mating bonds were sacred, sealed by divine law and royal decree, love was supposed to be pure, strategic, and sanctioned. Summary
It’s not easy to look at him, but it’s all Sunghoon wants to do most days. He can see the friend he used to have still tucked away somewhere, maybe behind Jungwon’s glistening eyes or his annoying habits. As long as they keep their distance, he’ll be fine. Sunghoon can deal with lost time and the space between the two of them; it’s the opposite that might pose a problem.
