Summary
Kara Danvers is a good assistant. A little inexperienced, maybe, but she has other qualities. A good memory. Punctuality. An uncanny knack for always having exactly what Lena wants before she asks for it. And, of course, absolutely zero connections. Not to other businesses. Not to Lex. There’s something to be said for an assistant that won’t plant bugs in her office. Or let in assassins.
But, perhaps, Lena should rephrase. Kara Danvers used to be a good assistant. Maybe the best assistant Lena’s ever had. So why, pray tell, was Lena’s most reliable assistant suddenly terrible?...

Summary
She did not regret her choice. Not for one second. Alex meant everything to her. Why didn’t she understand? Kara did not care that people knew she existed as long as Alex was alive and well. After Kara saves a plane from crashing and with it her sister Alex from certain death, her secret is exposed. The story starts after Kara and Alex fight in S01E01, after she saves that plane. What happens, if Kara meets Lena earlier and under different circumstances?

Mon-el running away has given Lena the chance to have everything she’s ever wanted, even if it’s just on paper. She’s not about to screw up her chance to have a family with Kara and she’s certainly not going to make it awkward by confessing she's hopelessly in love with her best friend.
