Ben Solo has a problem: Rey Niima’s obsession with “good deals” from targeted ads makes extra work for him at the bank trying to get her money back from the scams. Also, he hates seeing her get scammed. Out of frustration, he gives her his number so she can call him for help deciding if the ad is legit (it usually isn’t).
Written based on the following prompt by @ebongawk on Twitter:
Rey falls for one of those too-good-to-be-true Facebook scams where they advertise an 8 piece cast iron cooking set for $55 and Ben the Banker sees her walk to file a claim after 3 weeks, sighs, and says, "Another targeted ad, Miss Niima? How can I drill the danger into you?"

Summary
Niima Outpost was a humble little auto shop, with only Rey and her friend/co-worker Finn at its helm. But despite its small-town, local charm, it was a branch company of First Order Incorporated. For all the little branches and all the different businesses, they had one IT department. A massive IT department, she was sure of it, it had to be.
And yet whenever Rey had to call IT, which was about twice the amount of times a normal person would call "excessive," she got the same IT guy. Every. Damn. Time.
She named him Fuckhead.

“…so, no, Ben Solo, unless you want to marry me, there’s nothing—NOTHING—you can do to help my situation!” Rey screamed from the top of her lungs.
She turned roughly away when she felt a stray tear roll down her cheek. God damn it. It was so mortifying. Of all the people in San Francisco she could break down in front of, it had to be Ben-fucking-Solo. She took a few steps backwards, intending to spin around and run away before she could embarrass herself any further, but a large hand wrapped around her wrist before she could.
“Wait.” He didn’t say any more for a second. He only looked at her, his eyebrows drawing minutely together, as if he was puzzling through a stubborn bug, an impossible problem.
Then, just as Rey was about to shake his hand loose, she heard him ask, “Do you want to?”
UK borne Rey Unkar thought she finally found a home in Silicon Valley: she has close friends that love her, a great career at Resistance Labs, a vacation to Puerto Rico in the plans, and even an online friend who she can nerd out with on all things C++. Then, her H-1B extension gets denied and she has 10 days before she is required to leave the U.S.
