  Summary

"Congratulations, son. You have a spot available in the army on Pandora. You get to do what so many others would die for; your duty to humanity!"
Grace stared at him, uncomprehending, before finally managing to speak, his voice hoarse from hours of silent crying, cheeks stained with partly dried tears.
"I didn't sign up for this."
  The officer's smile barely changed.
"You don't need to. The program needs compatible candidates, and you happen to fit the description."
It was then that Grace understood. They weren't offering him a chance to go to Pandora; they had already decided that he was going.
