Jared then became aware of another person in the room — Dean Winchester, not Jensen, standing with his arms crossed next to Sam and analyzing Jared suspiciously. “Come on, Sam, what went wrong?” he asked.
It was precisely at that moment that Jared screamed.

While filming season 11, Jared gets transported to Sam and Dean’s world as “the thing they need most” when Sam is going through the demon trials. After initially freaking out, Jared begins to understand how he is needed to help Sam overcome the negative thoughts and feelings slowly killing him, and the two of them bond over the shared feeling of, above all else, being terrified of letting people down.

John was acting weird. Dean knew Sam could tell, and so could he, although he wouldn’t admit it. John wasn’t looking at Sam, he was barely talking to him, and every time Sam got within a foot of Dean, the line of John’s jaw would tighten.
It was weird, but Dean tried not to think much of it.
At least, not until he woke up in the middle of the night to find that Sam was gone, along with their father.

The deputy turned back to them, taking the handcuffs from Rawlins, and looped a metal cuff around one of each of their wrists.
With a clink, Sam and Dean were handcuffed together.
“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me,” Dean groaned.
Or, Sam and Dean get handcuffed together during a hunt. With a werewolf on their tail and a proximity to each other they haven’t had since they were kids, their unstable relationship is put to the test and their trust in each other is pushed to the limit.
