"Draco took the T-shirt and spread it out on the unmade bed. There was a big rip under one of the arms, and the word ‘METALLICA’ was written on it in spiky, alien letters whose ‘M’ and ‘A’ ended in lightning bolts, like Potter’s scar. Draco bent down and pressed his face into the T-shirt. It smelled of Potter, like beeswax and wood. A wave of painful longing hit Draco. Then he remembered a dream he’d had last night, in the sudden way that dreams sometimes come back during the day ..."
It's year seven. Voldemort has taken over the Ministry, the Carrows have taken over Hogwarts, and Harry Potter has disappeared. Draco Malfoy has become Voldemort's right-hand Death Eater, and he's been Occluding his thoughts to hide dangerous secrets. But Draco’s suppressed memories start resurfacing, memories of Harry. Did something romantic happen between Draco and Harry in sixth year? And does this mean Draco can find out where Harry has gone and bring him back?
This fic was written for the Harry/Draco Collaboration Fest 2025 as a collaboration with the wonderful artist draykray (on Tumblr) who created the cover art.
