He remembered the dancing. The smell of sadness that came from his sister as she watched. Aoi’s soft murmurs of consolation to Inosuke. The scent of tears stemming from Zenitsu and Suma. The steady beat of Uzui-san’s drum. Remembered the smell of the Earth. A deep, rich scent, like it was giving him one last goodbye. Then all Tanjirou remembered was falling. He remembered heat. His vision going a vibrant red, then the white he knew meant death. Tanjirou had died ready. He had died content.
Kamado Tanjirou died at twenty-five to the destructive heat of the Demon Slayer Mark.
