Summary
When Kakashi is injured after being hit with an unknown jutsu, his career as a shinobi, and even his life, hang in the balance. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura fear the loss of their teacher and stick close by. Just when it seems all hope is lost, a mysterious stranger from Kakashi’s past suddenly appears.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto. Not really canon, as I introduce some characters sooner than the anime does and have a couple other non canon things planned, but tried to blend in a way that feels canon. This piece takes place sometime before the Chunin exams. Did my best to keep the characters true to themselves. This is my very first fan fic piece. Multi-chapter, will try to keep updates as regular as possible. Also, do not read if you don’t want spoilers and have not watched Shippuden, as Shippuden reveals a few things the first series did not. Please read, review, and enjoy!

Summary
“Why do you keep breaking into my house?” Ichigo complained, in lieu of a proper response. It was best to not feed Kisuke’s ego.
“I was sexiled from my own home,” Kisuke sighed. “And Tessai-san and the kids are out in town, shopping.”
Ichigo’s eye twitched as he processed the word “sexiled” falling from Kisuke’s lips. There was just something unfathomably wrong about him using modern slang. Like listening to your fifty year-old aunt insist that she was “hip with the kids”.
“Neither Yoruichi and Kuukaku even live there,” Kisuke lamented, oblivious to his internal struggle. “They just started stripping while I was eating my tamagoyaki. I would have stayed to finish it, but Kuukaku threatened to set my lab on fire until I left.”

Summary
Everybody knew about the 12th’s lieutenant. The man who had held the position for near a hundred years, and adamantly refused to become a captain. He was the subject of much gossip in the Gotei 13. After all, he made quite the striking figure. Wild orange hair, a permanent scowl, and power that clung tightly to his skin, it really was not an exaggeration that everyone knew him, or at the least, knew about him.
Everyone, it seemed but Urahara Kisuke himself.
The very same Urahara Kisuke who as of today was the captain of the 12th.
