Summary
He had no idea when he had started to see Amy in a less-platonic light. Maybe it was when fearlessly rescued him from that cell on Prison Island, maybe it was on one of the worst days of his life, when she hadn’t recognized him as a werehog, or maybe it was after their adventures on Starfall Islands, which made him acknowledge how much she had grown as a person.
Or who knows, maybe a part of him had always seen her that way.
A companion piece to my story, "i don't forgive you (but please don't hold me to it)". Basically, the entire story, but from Sonic's POV instead.

In another world, she might have pursued those glossy blue eyes and the devilish smile, become a groupie, learned all of these hard lessons in equally traumatizing form. Instead, she twirled on one bare foot, shaking her hips to the saucy beat wagging her free hand like a maraca while her other slipped into yet another unpacked box to grab a whisk. Down, she swung her hips until she was crouched where she needed to be at the floor, parting the cabinet doors to extract a frying pan. Up, she came with the bridge, back bent at a curve until her hands reached her knees. From there, she backed it up to the fridge and simply tilted her head side-to-side with the rhythm. “Well those dance moves sure aren’t kid-friendly!”
“HOLY SHIT FU--” She covered her mouth before the worst of it could slip out, eyes looking horrified at her balcony, fingers digging into the skin around her mouth. The eggs dropped to the floor with five indistinct splattering noises. Sonic’s eyes were wide, mouth curled in a small, amused circle.
“And neither are those words!”
It’d only been three months, just barely, and he’d already found her.
