Takes place roughly one year after the wall comes down.
The first time they slept together, properly slept together, after everything happened, was the next morning. It had been sweaty, both still with fresh wounds that had only been bandaged hours before. But they’d woken up in the other’s arms for the first time in months and it had happened so fast. Shirts still on, fast and quick and dirty with pants around their ankles. Neither had uttered anything coherent as the bedframe in Ambrosius’ apartment thudded against the wall. Afterwards they had rewrapped wounds, gone at it again on the sofa and then slept like the dead.
Months later, Ambrosious was all too happy to agree when Ballister found the old ropes and whip at the back of the closet one morning, and Ballister cocked an eyebrow as a hopeful question.Bookmarked by TheDevilsCatacombs

Sometimes, there is just as much thrill in the hunt and the chase as there is in the final victory. That is the lesson Genji learns when he finds himself finding a new target for his fancies in the shape of Gabriel Reyes. The only problem is it was a game forbidden, a love destined to ruin, and a family falling apart as the lines of strife are drawn.
Lives changes and lives pass, but through it all, the game endures, the chase remains, and every set back only makes it all worth the fight to continue on.
