Summary
After separating from Lilith, Lucifer thought he would never love again. And yet he did: he fell in love with a human. Naturally, Heaven wouldn't allow it, so he had to abandon everything, knowing he would never see Alastor again.
Hell just wasn't for him.
Of course, God enjoyed giving him challenges such as having the bellhop of his daughter's hotel being named the same. Still, all Lucifer needed to do was ignore that minor detail. The radio demon was irritating and could never be the very same Alastor he had once loved.

Summary
After five months of attempting to summon the Devil, Alastor was about to give up on the old occultist book he found hidden in his bayou. As he reckons with the ever growing possibility that he will lose his hard-won radio host job in the wake of the 1929 stock market crash and the ensuing depression, he meets a mysterious man in white.

He didn’t need confirmation from his old friend that this is the man she was referring to. He looked like something out of a lovesick teenager’s fantasy. Perfectly smooth, pale skin, blond hair combed neatly back, uncannily blue eyes. He wore a pristine white suit, not a single speck of dirt on it, and a lapel pin in a shape Alastor couldn’t make out from this distance. Their eyes met, and Alastor was nearly bowled over with an emotion he couldn’t quite identify.
…Disgust. That must be the emotion. Who was this man, waltzing into his town to flaunt wealth that others could only dream of? His suit was finely tailored, so clean, so unlike the threadbare clothes that most of the other patrons wore. He could taste bile on his tongue.
And, suddenly, the blond man was in front of him.

He puts on a good show, Alastor will give him that, but it's just that—a show. Perching on the arm of the couch he watches listlessly, attention lingering on that unfading smile and the pale, dead eyes above it. Oh, they're creased at the corners, faintly lined with years and mirth, but—"Trust me," he says confidently, like he's the only thing that matters. In Vincent Whittman's world, he probably is.
Alastor turns off the television, jaw firmly set with a new kind of determination.

Summary
